Meet one of the artists we champion at the gallery: Raphaël Bianchi, a young voice on the neo-pop scene.
An instinctive journey
Having attended art history university before joining the Beaux-Arts de Pau (where he is now in his 3rd year), Raphaël Bianchi forges a free path, between painting, 3D sculpture and skateboarding. He has already exhibited in the Ossau Valley and at the Vague à l'art festival.
A neo-pop universe
Saturated colours — fuchsia pink, glaring orange, acid green —, hybrid figures and biting humour: Bianchi draws on popular culture (cartoons, advertising, childhood icons) to subvert it with irony. Behind his distorted creatures lies a playful critique of entertainment society.
Direct formats
His canvases, painted in acrylic in intense formats (around 50 × 50 cm), strike with their graphic energy. Beneath the shock of the colours, a sincere intention: to make the world a little more beautiful, to elicit a smile.
